“In all the years I have known Kate
I have always been impressed by her honesty, integrity, compassion, sincerity
and incredible work ethic. She is a life long resident of Attleboro, and has a genuine affection for the residents and the city, and a real understanding of the issues and
concerns that affect our lives.
As a city councilor, Kate never abandoned or compromised
her principles and beliefs for personal or political gain.
Kate has always been true to herself, and more importantly
true to all those she so honorably and enthusiastically represented.
Your vote for Kate will allow her to bring these same principles, enthusiasm and values to Beacon Hill, and to continue to represent our city and residents with honor and distinction.
Please join me and support Kate Jackson for our next
State Representative."

“One of the greatest lessons my parents have taught me is to never forget where you came from. Kate Jackson has lived her life by this ideal. I know this because
she is the one who taught me to never forget where I came from.
She is my mother. She loves Attleboro and has worked hard within the community whether involved in politics or not.
She is the kind of representative Attleboro needs in the state house. She is passionate, determined, and dedicated. She will not back down from any challenge. Please vote Kate for State!

“Kate Jackson has the drive, desire, and
commitment to help our city move forward. Kate has the people skills, to listen, to understand, and to take the steps needed to help our people, to help solve our
city's needs, and make sure that Attleboro receives its fair share of state aid. She is the right person for the position of state representative, to work with our Governor and other legislators, as well as our Mayor and City Council.
Let's make sure that we elect an effective state legislator, help Kate by voting for her on September 16”

"I came to know Kate Jackson several years ago and it was immediately evident that she was one of the most Vibrant, Compassionate, and Energetic individuals I’ve ever had the pleasure to work with. She cares deeply for the citizens of Attleboro and works tirelessly on issues that affect their community. She is a rare breed in the world of politics, most political figures tell you what you want to hear and move on to their own agenda, but not Kate. When Kate tells you she will stand beside you and fight for your rights or a cause the affects many within this great community, that’s just what she does,
She stands on solid ethical and moral ground and is the leader that the Attleboro Community needs in these difficult fiscal times."
Arnie Larson
President, Fraternal Order of Police, Attleboro, MA

“These candidates
have thoroughly demonstrated their solid commitment to working families through a series of vetting processes, such as questionnaires, candidate nights, interviews, and in their performance fighting for workers in offices they've held. We are proud to endorse them in the 2008 elections, and we look forward to announcing more endorsements of supporters of working families as the general election approaches.
The Massachusetts AFL-CIO pledges our time, organization, resources, energy, and passion into electing these pro-worker candidates to these important political offices.
We will communicate with our members to inform them of the myriad reasons why these candidates are the best candidates for working families."
Massachusetts AFL-CIO President, Robert J. Haynes'
statement on 2008 election endorsements which
includes Kate
Jackson for State Representative, 2nd Bristol district.
“The Sierra Club is proud to endorse Kate Jackson.
Kate has the experience, knowledge and courage to lead the state on environmental issues from transportation to curbing global warming gas
emissions.”
“The Sierra Club looks forward to working with Jackson in the coming months and years to focus on environmental issues, reducing our reliance on oil through conservation and other measures, improving our air and water quality, and other issues that affect the quality of life and health of residents."
“As the combined threats of global warming and a tightening economy meet with opportunities for economic growth through environmentally friendly opportunities,
candidates like Jackson offer true leadership.
All studies show we do not enjoy the luxury of time – Kate Jackson recognizes that and wants to act appropriately.”
Phil Sego
MA Sierra Club Political Committee.
“Why vote for Kate Jackson as your state rep?
She will be a representative of the people. She will be a representative who is not in it for personal gain and political perks.
She is sincere and cares about the citizens of Attleboro and wants to focus in on and address the issues that exist in our community now and in the future.
Her goal is to be our voice on Beacon Hill to positively impact and improve our community.
We have known Kate for several years now.
If you want someone who is going to represent you, your neighbor and your neighbor's neighbor, with honesty, integrity and aggression then vote for Kate in September and again in November!"
Liz and Jim Schultz - Attleboro, MA
“To be an effective
legislator you must have a passion for public service. I have known Kate many years and she has exemplified that passion during her tenure on Attleboro’s Municipal Council. There were no issues too
big or too small for Kate to take on. There were no individuals more important than the
next of those that she represented. Kate will bring that same passion to Beacon Hill. I don’t
think we could find a more capable, or stronger advocate for the citizens of Attleboro.
I hope you will join me in casting your vote for Kate
Jackson in the September
primary and the November election."
Emmett Larkin - Attleboro, MA
“The type of person we need as our state Representative is Kate. How do I know this?
I've known Kate most of my life. Knowing her this long means I know how she cares, I know how smart she is, and I know she is the person we need in these times we live in to be our voice as our State Representative. Kate is the right choice!”
Bill Griffin - Attleboro Businessman and Resident
“I
only support a candidate that I really believe in.
After viewing Kate's website I feel I need to add my
thoughts. I have known Kate for many years beginning
with her employment at Dr. Peluso's office, a local
orthodontist here in Attleboro. I hosted her first
fundraiser at Union Station when she first sought
elected office as an at-large city councilor (and
topped the ballot citywide!!!). I am impressed with
her style, enthusiasm, and the fact that she has
always stepped up, supported and been involved in
local events and charities, not just when she was
running in a campaign for elected office. Kate was
raised here and has always called Attleboro her home.
She gives back to her community in many ways and
reminds us "Never forget where you came
from".
As a person who loves this city and is involved in
many community projects
I ask that you join me in supporting Kate Jackson for
State Representative. She is the right person for this
important position."
Ann Friedman, Attleboro
“Kate Jackson is a fighter! She served us well on our City’s Council and she’ll serve us well in Boston.”
Joe Solis - Attleboro, MA
“Kate's simply the hardest working campaigner I've
seen. Whether it's one on one, or in a large group,
Kate has the ability to listen and to make people feel
comfortable. She also has the ability to make people
feel that their problems and concerns will be
resolved. She'll be a "representative" of the working families of Attleboro when she arrives on Beacon Hill,
and isn't that what being a State Rep is all about?

“My name is Jerry Ringuette. I'm a resident of Quincy, MA and the webmaster for the
www.KateForStateRep.com website. With the September 16th Primary nearly here,
I felt it important to come out from behind the computer screen to speak out on why a person
from Quincy is so focused on supporting Kate Jackson for MA State Representative.
I am a legally married, gay man who prior to being wed faced significant discrimination. In the middle of a December 2003 blizzard, my spouse (then partner of 10 years) was rushed away by ambulance in a potentially fatal situation. Due to the seriousness of the matter, the hospital told me that they would not confirm to me that he made it to the hospital safely, or even allow me to visit because I was not his parent or legal spouse. I had no way of knowing if the person I loved and dedicated my life to was even alive.
This topic may be “old news” to many, but if faced in a similar situation, I suspect that anyone would continue to have nightmares over the experience as I still do today.
The reason that I am doing everything that I can to help elect Kate Jackson is because she was there for me. She ran and nearly defeated anti-gay Representative John Lepper in 2006, and was out on the State House steps fighting the bigoted petition measure that our legislature recently defeated. As a matter of fact,
Kate Jackson sat in the State House, with contingent of my friends from Attleboro, and jumped up to embrace us when the final votes defeated the measure.
I feel that it is very important that the people of Attleboro are aware that
Kate’s primary opponent, Bill Bowles actually signed the petition to rescind civil marriage protections for committed same-sex couples. His name is clearly visible on the website
KnowThyNeighbor.org. Mr. Bowles is now trying to court the GLBT community as suddenly supportive of equal protections.
Kate Jackson is one of the most compassionate, sincere people I have ever met.
She is a person that the people of Attleboro and our entire state can trust to do what is right for their well being. I encourage the people of Attleboro to get out and vote for Kate Jackson on September 16, 2008."

I am writing in support of Kate Jackson for state representative. While one candidate for this position in next week’s primary aims to mislead voters and offer false statements in his advertisements, Kate has held her head high and not attempted to mislead or deceive the public.
Kate has always been a person of conviction and honor.
As a lifelong resident of Attleboro, a person who has always worked in the Attleboro and raised a family in Attleboro, I feel that she can best relate to the awesome responsibility and commitment that we, as a working families, face daily to provide for our families.
Kate is committed to supporting the educational needs of our children, providing elder services for our senior population and securing funding for our economic growth as Attleboro moves forward. Kate is a true supporter of public safety and knows that local ordinances do not supersede Massachusetts General Law.
Kate supports our veterans and would not support cutting veteran’s preference at any level. There are real differences between the two candidates in next week’s primary. I will support the candidate who will serve our city well, not a “tell you what I think you want to hear” politician. The high road is what really matters. Please vote for Kate Jackson, state representative on Sept. 16.

Having been around Attleboro for a number of years, I have witnessed many changes. Elected officials have come and gone. Some truly were “public servants” elected by the people to represent the residents of Attleboro and some were simply politicians seeking to serve some unknown need to be recognized, or worse... heard over and over again. Two well known past public servants were mayors who, liked or not, seemed to always have our city’s best interest at heart. They were Ray Macomber and the late Gerald Keane. It was, I believe, one of these men who came up with a community campaign known as P.A.C.E., an acronym for Positive Attitudes Change Everything.
This campaign was initiated to instill renewed pride in our city and all that was good about it. Although times have changed and our city has not escaped the fate of shifts in economic values and manufacturing,
one candidate for the upcoming state representative’s seat has the “positive attitude” to make “positive change” for the future of Attleboro. Kate Jackson has shown time and time again that she is truly the public servant who doesn’t need to do a “headline grab” or ramble on and on to make a point.
Kate has often worked quietly behind the scenes to assist a family in need of elderly services, a child whose educational needs require special attention or to simply support a community effort without any
recognition. I believe Kate Jackson is the state representative who will best serve the people of Attleboro and best interact with fellow representatives and senators to help “set the P.A.C.E.” for Attleboro.
Please join me in voting for Kate Jackson in the Sept. 16 primary.
